Liam Cornell and Lauren Geldenhuys South African Photographers started taking photos to document their experience as animal wranglers. The relationships they formed with the animals they worked with allowed them to create intimate images that offer a different perspective to the usual wildlife photography. Their images capture the personality, moods and temperaments of their subjects.

These images also reflect the relationship between man and animal. As one person recently said, “it is as if they have taken snap shots of their friends.” Their range of animal portraits aims to give personal insight into the moments, expressions and character traits of wild animals.

The strangest thing about penguins is their tendency towards affection. They are very social animals, and are monogamous for life. They are constantly preening each other, and in this photo it looks like they are kissing.
